#16 Garlic Powder
Native to Central Asia, garlic is derived from garlic cloves that have been desiccated and pound into fine particles. While the flavor is garlic-like, it is distinctly different from freshly chopped garlic, as it tastes a bit sweeter and less overpowering than fresh garlic. Garlic powder can be used to compliment just about any savory dish. In fact, most cooks swear that your kitchen is practically incomplete without garlic or its powder.
