Almost everyone has one, a band around their wrist counting their steps or tracking their heart rate. There are so many different versions available out there, it’s hard to determine which one is best suited for your needs. 2017 has been an incredible year for outstanding fitness wearables and the year isn’t even over yet! Check out some of our most favorite below.

Samsung Gear Fit 2

The Verge

One of the coolest things about the Samsung Gear Fit 2 is that it works not only with Android devices, but it works with iOs 9 and above on iPhones as well! The wearable itself is probably one of the more aesthetically pleasing bands and comes with a sleek, full-color screen. The band includes a heart rate monitor, is waterproof, tracks different activities, has a GPS through the phone app, and the battery life is around 3 days.

TomTom Spark 3

Wareable

The TomTom Spark 3 sets itself apart for one reason, it can play music for you without the need of your phone – you can upload music directly onto the TomTom! It comes with a GPS tracker, heart rate monitor as well as route navigation – making it one of the best wearables for runners. The band is compatible with both Android and iOs systems, it’s waterproof and the battery life is about 2 weeks, depending on how much you use it! This tracker can be purchased for about $219 or about half that price if you’re ok with a used one.

Fitbit Charge 2

Vashtie

The Fitbit Charger 2 is the best Fitbit wearable on the market right now. It’s the pricier of the Fitbit bands, but it’s great if you like to run outside as it links to the GPS on your phone. There is a big screen on the band and it shows you your heart rate as well as the calories you’re burning! It’s not waterproof so it’s not ideal for swimmers, but it does work with Android, iOs as well as Windows! The battery life comes in around 4 days depending on how much you use it. This band is about $200 online.

Fitbit Surge

Fitbit

The Surge is probably the least popular Fitbit band on the market currently, but it’s actually a really great tool if you need a GPS watch, such as on long runs. The band comes with real-time workout stats and heart-rate tracker. The band is not waterproof, but it’s definitely the most powerful Fitbit to date. It works with Andriod, iOs and Windows systems, but the battery life is not too long, only 3-days. You can get the band online for around $200.

Garmin Vivosmart 3

Wareable

The Garmin Vivosmart 3 is a bit pricier, but it has almost everything you want in an exercise wearable. It’s a water-resistant band, compatible with both Android and iOs, has a GPS, heart rate monitor and the battery life lasts around a week. One of the biggest downfalls of this wearable is that it’s really meant more for people in the gym than it is for runners who go outside. This tracker comes in around $189 online.

Garmin Vivofit 3

Garmin

This is the most advanced band that Garmin has put out thus far but there are definitely some stuff that is missing. It lacks a heart rate monitor and GPS. It’s water-resistant and is a great activity tracker. The best part about this band is that you only need to charge it once a year! There are great fitness tracking features and a really great screen to help you keep track of everything. This band is pretty affordable coming in around $100.

Fitbit Blaze

Fitbit

The Fitbit Blaze is a tracker that looks a bit more like a normal watch! The Blaze comes equipped with an automatic fitness tracker, which means you’re able to start exercising and it will automatically tell what you’re up to! There are no phone notifications with this band, but you don’t really need it since it gives you always-on display. It’s compatible with Andriod, iOs and Windows systems, is not waterproof, but it does have a heart-rate monitor. You can find this band online for anywhere from $249 but if you’re willing to search, you can find it cheaper too.

Moov Now

PCWorld

Moov Now is a really great fitness tracker if you’re not looking for something overly fancy and you have a limited budget. It doesn’t come with a step tracker or a GPS, it’s used for more of a rep based workout, like boxing or swimming. It’s waterproof and the battery life on this wearable is incredible – six months! The app itself works with Android/iOs and comes with a run coach and a sleep tracker so you can see how soundly you sleep throughout the night. You can pick one of these bands up online on Amazon for only $59.95, making this a pretty great steal. You can pick up this wearable new for around $200, or you can find it much cheaper on Amazon Marketplace.
